This blog brings attention to my reflections about my Research Paper that I am currently writing. Included below is my process of my writing and how it aided me over these pass weeks. The video Reflective Writing guided me on how to properly reflect on my writing. Who did you work with to compose your research paper? Was this a good approach? I worked by myself, but I did watch the film again with my friend Shalina to get her feed back on the movie. I do think that it was a good approach. What rhetorical mode and genre are you using? The rhetorical mode is part persuade and to inform my audience. The genre I am using is Textbook with a splash of Realistic Fiction. When did you write this project? Good approach? I wrote this project on April 14th. Yes I think it was a very good approach. Where did you write this project? Good approach? I wrote this project in my bedroom, laying across the bed listening to Jazz vibes on Spotify. Also with some herbal refreshment to help with get my creative juices flowing. Yes i was a good approach. Why did you choose to write about your chosen topic? Good choice? I chosen to write about this topic because I never in my life saw a jail that looks like a hotel in the inside. And I never saw people who committed raps, murders, robbery's etc, being treat so nicely. With them living in condition like in the outside world. Also I didn't know that the actual concept came from America's constitution. The rule of "No cruel and unusually punishment. And that is exactly how they treat inmates in American jail. So that goes against the rules the America set for itself and needs follow their own rules. And yes I think it was awesome choice, because nobody will have my topic. How did it feel to write this argument ("during, after, and since")? Do you have any "if only" moments that can help you revise the draft? During- I felt empowered to being to bring light to this alternative way of rehabilitation for people who get put in jail. It was kind of surreal to be writing about some fairy tale, of how inmate do their time living in hotels or on some vacation resort. Also thinking to myself like, i want to go to jail too you to relax, get ya mind right, focus of yourself with no bills to pay. It blew my mind that the guards didn't have guns to protect themselves. But I guess when your in a vacation resort you don't want to get kicked out. After- I felt like I did something good. Like I am giving people something to talk about, spark a different keep of thought in the minds of the masses. Since- I felt like i need to go back in my research paper and give it some more action. How will you revise your argument? I will revise my argument by making it more of an argument. Go back an put some of the things people would say to that don't believe in alternative rehabilitation and treating people like humans not like animals.
